The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.

DISC Behavioral Analysis

DISC is the universal and observable indicator of HOW people do things. It reveals the characteristics of behavioral styles in four dimensions:
  • How you respond to problems or challenges >> Dominance
  • How you influence others to your point of view >> Influence
  • How you respond to pace >> Steadiness
  • How you respond to rules and procedures >> Compliance

This intensity, balance, absence or presence of these four traits make up everyone's unique Natural and Adapted behavioral styles. These styles are what is observed when people respond to the ups and downs of their job and personal lives.

Developing Behavioral Intelligence

Knowledge is the strongest modifier of behaviors. If we know and understand our behaviors, we are then able to adapt them to make every situation effective. Perception is reality, and often it is the perception of other’s that is most insightful. To gain this behavioral knowledge, you must use an assessment that will allow you to see yourself as others do. You cannot adapt your behavior until you know where you are coming from.

Once you understand and appreciate your own behavioral styles, you can begin to build Behavioral Intelligence™ - the ability to act in ways dependent on situational demands. With Behavioral Intelligence, you can assess the situation and alter your behaviors for effective communication, decision making and conflict resolution. Applying Behavioral Intelligence to fit the situation leads to success.
