Fast Tip Friday: Do Whatever It Takes

Sep 8, 2023 7:00:00 AM

Hey, look, I'm ready for hate mail after this one...

If you watch this, and you're like, Charlie, this is the stupidest topic you've ever covered... the worst example you could have ever given us.... I'm ready for it, bring it on!

I'm worried about the concept, not the particulars of the live circumstance that I'm going to share with you today, so if you hate me or hate me, I'm cool with it.

If any of you know anything about Growth Dynamics, you realize that we're based outside of Philadelphia, PA. We happen to be in this little burg. I think it's heavenly here... Chester County, PA, more particularly, West Chester, PA. And if you're paying attention to any national news, West Chester in Chester County, and Kennett Square, PA, big time story is on national news, no matter where you are. There is an escaped murder running around our neighborhood that nobody can find!

Now, I am not embracing a murderer. That's not the story today. But the story is this... whatever it took for this criminal to escape, he was willing to do it. Crab walking up walls, running across roofs, jumping 14 feet to the ground, hiding in the woods, running through streams, god knows what this guy is eating... my guess is there's a patch of berries somewhere that's picked naked, just so he could stay alive for the last week because nobody can still find him!

So what's the message? I'm going to make it short and sweet and not let you deal with it too long today, because it's not a real happy situation. When some people want something bad enough, they will do whatever it takes. Look, this guy's a criminal, the worst kind of criminal. He wanted his freedom so bad, he's been willing to live like a bug for the last week, and he's done it well enough that the best in the brightest in search and rescue and tracking people, can't find this guy.... and I believe he's been right under everybody's noses for the last week.

So look, I'm not embracing a criminal, but I am embracing the attitude of "do whatever it takes to get where you want to go". Don't let self-created fences and barriers and beliefs stop you from living the life that you want to live, having the experiences you want to have, and being as free as you want to be to do whatever you want to do, when you want to do it, and make the commitment to do whatever it takes to make that happen, and see if it doesn't make a difference.

Don't wait. Don't sentence yourself to a life of "what if", or "someday I'll", go do it today, and break the bonds of your own fears and challenges and worries, and go celebrate a great life. Thanks for letting me drag an ugly topic in front of all of you, but great example in a lousy real life circumstance. That's my message. Have a great Friday. Have a more awesome weekend and come back Monday ready to run wild across the landscape is success. Take care!
