We're in the middle of winter. In Philadelphia, we haven't had any snow this year, but it's been cold. Tonight, it's going to get really cold and tomorrow, it's going to be really cold. Guess what... no matter what the temperatures are, we still have got to get things done. We still have to get outside, we've still got to clean our stuff up, and we may want to go do what Sarah Waple is doing... she's up skiing in Vermont. This is early February, it's going to be -42 degrees. -42, and she's on a ski vacation!
I really want you to think about this, because as I've gotten older, I've thought about what makes it easy for me to do things, that I've got to get done, regardless of what the conditions are. It's all about the equipment.
I don't care if you want to run around in the snow, because you like cold or you don't like cold. Some days, we just have to do what we have to do, regardless of the elements. My message to everybody is, don't let the conditions determine your success, make a commitment to invest in and develop the right equipment. Now in business development, it could be the right training, the right type of sales management, whether it's personal or you're managing somebody else, or someone else is managing you. Don't try to climb Mount Everest in a pair of shorts and Nikes. Get the right equipment, get the right team, get the right attitude, and don't allow ungodly elements to dictate your success, or whether or not you're going to make an attempt to conquer what at times can seem unconquerable.
If you are reading this, I'm inside. It's kind of crazy, but I have got to go out and walk my new dog and it's cold and little bit miserable. So I've got my hat, I've got my gloves, I've got my Columbia heat jacket on, because when the dogs gotta go, the dogs gotta go. I gotta have the right equipment to make sure the dog can go.
Everybody gear up, get it done. Go make money, Fast Tip Friday, Growth Dynamics.
