Hey everybody, welcome back to Fast Tip Friday. I'm Charlie Hauck, President, Lead Trainer, Founder, and Partner at Growth Dynamics.
Thanks again for tuning in and letting us add a little success and brightness to your life. Speaking of brightness...
I really wanted to introduce someone that some of you may know, but most of you probably won't. He's a local artist from the Mad River Valley in Vermont, where I happen to have a second home. His name is Woody Jackson, and Woody is famous for painting cows on these colorful backgrounds. He was at the local farmer's market this weekend when I was up in Vermont. My daughter, Sarah Waple, who is my partner, loves Woody Jackson, so I bought her this calendar.
As I was driving home, I was thinking about doing this recording, and I thought, "How do I get Woody Jackson's calendar included in this?" So here's what I want to say: here are 12 months of Woody Jackson's cows. Why do I care about this? Why am I sharing it with you as a Fast Tip Friday topic? Well, there are no rules for how you have to portray or paint cows, or how you can paint, portray, or color the landscape or background the cows stand in. Woody Jackson simply chooses the colors and brightness for the images he wants to create, and he hopes you enjoy them.
Here's what I want you to think about:
There's more than one way to skin a cat. When you allow yourself some creativity and stop playing by the rules all the time, maybe, somewhere, somehow, you'll come up with your version of a "Woody Jackson" approach to a sales call, a product presentation, a cold call, a discovery interview, or even a presentation to someone willing to do business with you. You don't have to follow someone else's steps for everything you do in life. There are so many different ways to see the same thing.
Give yourself permission to be creative, to be an individual, but also be responsible, honest, and work with integrity with the people you're doing business with.
I love Woody Jackson's artwork. It means so much to me because of my personal relationship with the Mad River Valley, and it gave me a chance to share that with all of you. I challenge you to get out of your own way and do the things you like to do—but also do them your way.
Say hi to Woody Jackson’s cows, look up his calendar, order one, and make 2025 a brighter year in your life. Thanks for paying attention this Friday. Have a great weekend, be creative, and rock and roll on Monday!
