Hey, look, it's not that late in the year. I just wanted to throw a couple of ideas out there to remind you to stop once again, make sure you've committed to what your goals are for this year, and to think about all the different things that could happen that might influence or impact how successful you are at accomplishing those goals. Look, this is a crazy year—not just right where you are, but all over the planet.
There's a lot of conflict, a lot of bad news surrounding what good news there is, and what I want to remind everybody to do is don't let that stuff get in the way of your brain and your thinking and your outlook. There will still be opportunities out there. The economy will still support your success. So don't break your commitment to yourself.
Understand that everybody that's out there in the world of business development, whether you're the company owner or you're the person out on the street carrying the bag, making the calls, everybody's playing on the same level playing field. The same challenges, the same hiccups, the same what-ifs, the same "oh mys"—all of those things are always going to be there. Don't let yourself get caught up in somebody else's bad news. If your mindset's right, your outcome's right. If your mindset sucks, you know what I'm about to say: your outlook sucks. So keep your head in the right place.
Don't buy bad news from people that don't want you to be more successful than they are. That's your decision. You gotta own it.
